As a recent graduate, I am thrilled to bring a fresh new perspective to psychotherapy. I work collaboratively with teens, adults and couples to recognize and resolve issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, loss and interpersonal problems. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with a diverse population of women suffering from low self-esteem, body image issues and disordered eating. My psychotherapeutic approach relies heavily on the client’s own strengths and wisdom by using a blend of Positive Psychology and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I have completed my internship at Birch Wellness Center under the direct supervision of Louise Blanchard. Additionally, I have volunteered as a birth control and unplanned pregnancy counsellor at the Women’s Health Clinic for the past several years using a pro-choice feminist based philosophy. I recently completed my term as Volunteer Representative on the Board of Directors at the Women’s Health Clinic and I am currently sitting on the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association’s Manitoba Chapter Board of Directors as a Student Representative.
