Profile Information

Finding a therapist can be a daunting task, especially if you are new to therapy and not sure how to find the right fit. My goal is to offer you a safe space to determine what you hope to gain from therapy and how we can best meet your needs.

Originally from Dublin, I am a white settler living and working on Treaty 1 territory. I am a cisgender lesbian and I specialize in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, particularly gender-questioning and transgender young people. As a queer mother, I also support other parents and would-be parents in navigating the unique challenges of making our families.

I have a strong interest in the mind-body connection and somatic therapies. I want to help individuals living with chronic pain create new narratives about their pain while also encouraging change in the body. I will be completing my Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy training in the fall. I believe in ongoing education and the integration of research into practice, especially given the rapid developments in mind-body work across the medical and therapeutic fields.

I received my Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University in May and I will be starting my Graduate Certificate in Pain Management through the University of Alberta in September. I have an International Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and the National University of Ireland, Galway, and I completed my Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Manitoba. I am an approved NIHB provider and a Registered Social Worker with the Manitoba College of Social Workers. Feel free to connect with me directly for services.
