Qualifications and Experience

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work degree and is a Registered Social Worker in Manitoba. Vanessa has worked in multi-system teams providing both individual and group coun-selling as well as intervention, planning and mental health assessments.

Profile Information (Philosophy)

I am an understanding, non-judgmental therapist, dedicated to creating a safer, inclusive and supportive environment for healing. I specialize in addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Mindfulness.

I also have specialized training in birth and reproductive trauma, grief therapy, and couples counselling, providing a holistic and trauma informed approach to therapy.

As a volunteer with Palliative Manitoba, I bring additional experience in supporting individuals and families through end-of-life care. My goal is to empower clients to heal, grow, and lead fulfilling lives, fostering a sense of safety and trust throughout the process.
