COVID-19 | Birch Update

Updated: January 18, 2023

Dear Valued Clients and Visitors,

Along with the lifting of restrictions by the Manitoba government, each business has been given jurisdiction to set their own policies regarding COVID-19 safety.

While we at Birch Wellness Center want to be able to live and work more freely, we are also very aware that many of our clients, family members, friends and community members are still very much at risk.

So as a measure to do our best to protect our most vulnerable, we strongly encourage all visitors at Birch Wellness Center to wear a mask and abide by the social distancing guidelines in all of our public areas. Once in your practitioner’s office, it will be up to them to set their guidelines for in person meetings.

Thank you for your ongoing understanding and cooperation.

We are in this together and we will continue to get through this together!

Sincerely,

Louise Blanchard MA, CCC,
Founder, Birch Wellness Center Inc.

Our Protocol for COVID-19

Updated: Oct 20, 2020

With utmost consideration of the safety of our clients and the community as a whole, Birch Wellness Center will remain open at this time, but has implemented the following protocols:

  • Each practitioner at Birch Wellness Center will decide how best to meet the needs of their clients during this time. Please check with your practitioner if you have any questions or concerns about your appointments.
  • In accordance with Health Canada recommendations, all of our common areas (including furniture, banisters, door knobs, etc.) will be sanitized regularly throughout the day.
  • When you enter the building you will see a hand sanitizer dispenser to use.
  • Any items that would potentially be touched by many people such as magazines, newspapers, chocolates, etc. have been removed temporarily.
  • We have provided disposable cups for water and coffee however we encourage clients to bring their own containers.
  • The best deterrent is washing hands regularly for 20 seconds.
  • Any clients in the waiting rooms are asked to practice social distancing (2 meters or 6 feet apart)
  • “In accordance with current Manitoba Health guidelines, masks are now mandatory while in the building”
  • Cashless or no-contact payment will be used to the greatest extent possible.
  • Prior to attending their appointment, clients are asked to use the self-screening tool as provided at: https://sharedhealthmb.ca/covid19/screening-tool/
  • Any clients who feel ill, have been in contact with someone who is ill or you have been recommended to self- isolate or self-quarantine are asked not to attend their appointments in person but to contact their practitioners to make other arrangements.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Sincerely,

Louise Blanchard MA, CCC,
